Built For Dogs That Pull

DESCRIPTION

If your dog leans into the collar the moment the front door opens, the issue is leverage. A collar sits on the throat, where a dog can pull hardest. The Kelpie No-Pull Harness clips at the chest instead. When your dog lunges, the front D-ring turns them sideways, so the momentum goes across the walk rather than straight down the leash.

  • Front D-ring redirects pulling at the chest, not the throat
  • Padded chest panel and breathable mesh built for all-day wear
  • Quick-release buckle: on and off in about two seconds
  • Reinforced top handle for close control near roads, bikes and other dogs
  • Three pieces included: harness, matching collar and shock-absorbing bungee leash

The set has no shock, prong or choke components. Five sizes, XS to XL. Measure your dog's chest before ordering.

CHOOSING A SIZE

Sizing is based on your dog's chest girth, not their weight. Run a soft tape measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs, and keep it snug but not tight.

If your dog measures between two sizes, take the larger one, because the straps adjust down further than they adjust up. Deep-chested breeds such as greyhounds and boxers often need a size up from what their weight suggests.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

Three pieces, all in matching black. The no-pull harness with a front chest D-ring, a reinforced top handle and a quick-release side buckle. A padded nylon collar with a reflective edge and a metal quick-release buckle. And a bungee leash with a padded loop handle, a second traffic handle for close control, and a locking carabiner clip.

HOW TO FIT IT

Undo the side buckle, slip the harness over your dog's head so the padded panel sits flat across the chest, then close the buckle behind the front legs. Tighten the straps until you can slide two flat fingers underneath. That is snug enough to stop it twisting and loose enough that nothing digs in.

Clip the leash to the front chest ring, not the one on the back. The front ring is what turns a lunge sideways; the back ring lets your dog pull straight into it.

MATERIALS & CARE

Woven nylon webbing with a breathable air-mesh lining and a padded chest panel, reflective stitching along the straps, and rust-resistant metal D-rings.

Hand wash in cool water with mild soap and air dry. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or iron. Check the stitching and buckle now and then, as you would with any piece of walking gear.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

Free shipping on every order. Most orders leave our warehouse within one business day.

Returns and refunds are handled under our Refund Policy. If the size is wrong or the set is not right for your dog, get in touch and we will sort it out.

Pressure off the throat

A collar sits on the throat, where a dog can pull hardest, so a lunge is rewarded with forward movement. The Kelpie No-Pull Harness moves the attachment point to the sternum. When your dog drives forward, the front D-ring turns them back toward you before the sprint builds.

Built for better walks

Front chest D-ring

Clipped at the sternum, this ring turns forward momentum sideways, so a lunge loses its power instead of dragging you with it.

Padded chest panel

Spreads pressure across the breastbone rather than concentrating it on the throat, so your dog can walk without gagging or coughing.

Reinforced top handle

Grab it when you need close control: crossing a road, passing another dog, or lifting your dog into the boot of the car.

Quick-release buckle

On and off in about two seconds, even with a dog who will not sit still. You do not have to wrestle it over an excited head.

Breathable air mesh

The lining against your dog stays cool and dry on long walks and warm days, so your dog can wear the harness for hours without rubbing.

Matching collar and leash

A padded collar with a metal quick-release buckle, and a bungee leash with a second traffic handle. The three pieces match, so you do not need to buy anything else.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Fit, sizing and how the front clip works.

HOW DOES A NO-PULL HARNESS WORK?

The leash clips at the chest instead of the back or the throat. When your dog drives forward, that front attachment point turns their shoulders back toward you, so the pull loses its direction. The harness does not tighten or pinch. It stops rewarding the lunge.

WILL IT HURT MY DOG OR MAKE THEM COUGH?

No. Pressure sits on the breastbone and across the chest
rather than on the windpipe, which is where a collar puts it.
The harness has no prongs, choke plates or electronics.

HOW LONG BEFORE I SEE A DIFFERENCE?

Often on the first walk. The harness changes the mechanics
rather than teaching a new behaviour, so there is no training
period. Dogs with a long pulling habit may take longer to
settle into it.

WHICH SIZE SHOULD I ORDER?

Measure your dog's chest girth at the widest point, just behind
the front legs, and choose from that rather than from weight.
Between two sizes, take the larger one. Deep-chested breeds
such as greyhounds and boxers usually need a size up.
